The hotel isn't in the very best of neighborhoods, but Nagoya is an awfully safe city to begin with. We never felt frightened or anything like that. The staff, on the other hand, was extremely kind and helpful. I'd stay there again in a heartbeat.
I can't believe the laziness of some of the past reviewers on this site. Complaining about the stairs that one had to climb in order to get to the lobby of the hotel. It's 18 easy steps....I counted. If you can't lift your luggage up 18 stairs, maybe you should just rethink your ability to travel in the first place.
